Sometimes a note from a reader comes across your desk and you simply know it’s meant to be shared.  The moment I read Julia’s delightful story of her grandmother’s yearly tradition I couldn’t help but smile, remembering my own childhood Christmases complete with inexpensive boxes of store-bought cherry cordials.  I immediately inquired if we might print her family recipe in the pages of Eden & Vine.  (To be honest, I hoped she’d share it simply so I could have it!  Of course, I could never keep such a joy to myself.)  After checking with her three sisters who happily obliged, she sent along the charming details of her grandmother’s Christmas tradition, noting how they hoped it might become a new tradition for many families.  Do enjoy! –TJ
