A Local’s Guide to Franklin, Tennessee

There’s a reason Franklin is consistently voted “best of” in any number of small-town categories. Whether you’re looking for history, adventure, scenic views, antique shopping, or great southern food, we’ve got it all! Franklin is, of course, our town. We never tire of exploring new coffee shops, of which we’ve no shortage, or meandering down our utterly charming main street lined with shops, restaurants, and galleries. Our 15-acre historic district is incredibly walkable, full of beautiful old buildings and Victorian architecture. From local farms and rolling vineyards to markets and festivals, there’s always a lovely way to celebrate the season. (By the way, we have four here! For a girl from Texas where the seasons are far less distinct and discernable, that’s a big deal.) With dozens of fantastic waterfall hikes and nature preserves within easy driving distance, outdoor enthusiasts will not be disappointed.  Award-winning parks and playgrounds coupled with southern hospitality make Franklin incredibly family friendly. Have we convinced you to plan a visit yet? If not, perhaps this local’s guide to our very favorite spots put together by our team will tip you over!  And if you are planning a trip, we may just bump into each other. We’re always around, usually with some kind of delicious beverage in hand! -TJ
